Greek Projects and Reports
Students were presented with Ancient Greece Projects and Report choices yesterday. There are 11 choices for both the projects and reports. Students choose one report topic and one project topic. These are due on Friday before Spring Break. While students will have access to school laptops, and time to work on these projects next week at school, they will also need to do some research, writing, and typing at home.
Research Reports need to be at least one page typed, double spaced. Projects are in a variety of different formats. If you have any questions on these, please email me. Each student was given a list of possible topics to choose from.

Parent Teacher Conferences
Thanks parents and students for attending conferences. Students did a great job talking about themselves, their learning successes, and establishing goals for this last bit of elementary school. Encourage your student to stay focused and positive during the next few months. We've got a lot of hard work ahead of us, and many fun activities, too.
I hope you enjoyed the books, and please don't hesitate to contact me with concerns or questions.
Thanks again.

March Book Reports /Informational Book
Students will choose an informational/nonfiction book for their March Book Report. Almost any subject that interests your child can work, with the exception of cookbooks or how-to books. The book report will be a questionnaire that focuses on main idea and details, and students will create a Concentration style game that will help them share their knowledge with classmates. Please encourage your child to choose a book that is 6th Grade appropriate. The book will hopefully challenge your child and teach them something new. Please be advised that, depending on the nature and style of the book, it is not expected that the book will be read "cover to cover". We will continue to talk about informational text structure in class.
The questionnaire is available in class, as well as the directions for the game.
This is due March 30th.
Thanks!
